COVID-19 CANCELLATIONS

It is with great regret and sorrow that we are forced to announce the cancellation of all events and activities for the remaining year, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, and the California state orders for social distancing.

We will post any updates and announcements pertinent of the Class of 2020 as we receive them.  We would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to all the Serra High Senior parent volunteers and donors, who helped support our efforts to create a memorable graduation season for the Class of 2020.

GRAD NITE at DISNEYLAND IS CANCELLED:

The following is an important announcement related to Grad Nite, as many Serra High Seniors have already bought tickets (announcement in pdf to right as well):

Disneyland feels with the uncertainty of when they will reopen and the planning that goes along with Grad Nite, it would be best to cancel. Please see a portion of the letter below.

 

Dear Group Leader,

While there is still much uncertainty with respect to the impacts of the unprecedented COVID-19, the safety and well-being of our guests and cast members remain the top priority of the Disneyland Resort. In light of recommendations by school and government officials to limit gatherings for the remainder of the academic year, we are making the difficult decision to cancel Disneyland Resort Grad Nite 2020.

Given Grad Nite events require a substantial amount of planning, coordination and travel, we felt that this was the right decision to make at this time. We know how much your students were looking forward to Grad Nite 2020 and that many will be disappointed, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Next, we will be reimbursing everyone for the cost of your ticket. Michele and I will be personally refunding you via Venmo or personal check. We ask for your patience. We will need to transfer from our Booster account and have 200 tickets to refund. In order to save on time and postage- Venmo would be preferable, if you have an account. If not, we will accommodate what works best for you. Please e-mail us if you prefer a check or your Venmo account information. If we don’t hear from you, we will be calling everyone individually.
